Amazon account showing as pending
This error normally indicates that Amazon has been unable to complete their account checks. Here are a few troubleshooting tips:
- Check you've finished the sign-up process by visiting the account confirmation page. If you see anything other than a heading that says 'Confirmation', complete the prompts.
- Check that a valid debit/credit card is present in your payment methods and that the billing address is correct. If there's a verify link shown next to the card, try clicking it.
- Check that your debit/credit card has a balance of at least $1, as Amazon will make a small charge of $1 to ensure that the card is valid and not stolen. This is temporary and will not be taken from your balance (otherwise known as an authorisation charge).
If you're still having trouble, open a case with Amazon's Account and Billing Support and let them know that you're getting an 'OptInRequired' error on your account. They'll be happy to point you in the right direction!
