Amazon SES costs
Amazon SES charges are based on the total number of emails being sent out from your account each month. When you sign up for a new Amazon Web Services account, you can choose their free plan.
On that plan, you receive $100 in credits at sign-up and up to $100 more by completing various activities. Credits will be used to pay for services such as email sending. This plan lasts for up to 6 months or until credits are used up - whichever comes first. After 6 months or after using your credits, you will be asked to upgrade your account. If you don't do that within 90 days, your AWS account will be closed. Once you upgrade, you'll pay $0.10 for every 1,000 emails.
More information can be found in Amazon's documentation.
You will not incur any other charges when connecting EmailOctopus to Amazon Web Services.
AWS accounts created before July 15, 2025, will keep the old free plan. On that plan, in the first year, Amazon will not charge you anything for the first 3,000 emails you send in a month. If you exceed that, you'll pay them $0.10 for every additional 1,000 emails.
