How to send a second campaign to those who didn't open your initial email (unopens)

You can re-send a campaign in a couple of clicks to subscribers who did not open your last email. Here's how:

Step 1: Duplicate the campaign you want to re-send.

Step 2: Now edit the campaign. When selecting who to send it to, click the "Advanced" tab.

Step 3: Select the option of segmenting on "Campaign Activity" and "Did not open". You can then select a group of subscribers who didn't open your email. The options available are specific campaigns or wider options, used to identify inactive subscribers. In this case, we will choose our "Test campaign."

Step 4: Add a condition to include contacts who received the first email. Without that, people who weren't the recipients of the first email would also be included in the segment. Make sure to choose the option to match all of the following conditions.

And that's it. Your new campaign will be sent to contacts who didn't open your campaign!

Since Apple iOS 15 update, the tracking pixel in the Apple Mail app is being automatically pre-fetched. So, in many cases, the open rate might not be the most reliable metric. You can learn more about it here.
