What type of content is allowed to send with EmailOctopus

As we mention in our acceptable use policy, we don't expressly prohibit any content from legitimate industries as long as people on your mailing list gave you consent to contact them. Still, some industries will be subject to additional scrutiny during an account review.

These industries include adult content, affiliate marketing, cryptocurrency, dating services, financial and gambling products.

Rather than excluding specific industries, we don't allow sending campaigns to people who didn't specifically opt in to receive content from you. This includes rented, swapped, purchased and scraped lists. We also don't allow sending content that – at our discretion – spreads misinformation around important events and topics, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
