Does EmailOctopus have live chat?


Whenever you have a quick question or get stuck during your campaign creation process, feel free to contact us via live chat or email!

We offer chat support to Pro plan users. If you're on a Starter plan, you'll have access to chat support for the first 30 days.

How to find the contact options?

You can contact us straight from the help beacon. You'll find it at the bottom of the right side of every page on your dashboard - it's a purple button with a question mark icon.

If you have an EmailOctopus account, please make sure to always sign into your account and open the beacon straight from your dashboard rather than our Knowledge Base.

As you open the beacon, you'll see the "Answers" and "Ask" tabs at the top of the pop-up window. In the "Answers" tab, you'll find many help guides and articles related to the part of the dashboard you're currently on. You can use our Knowledge Base search bar directly from here too!

Open the "Ask" tab if you want to ask us a specific question. Usually, there are two options you can reach us by - email and chat.

Can I send you an email message?

If you'd like to send us an email, just click on the "Email" button, and you'll see the text field, allowing you to type in your message. If you have a screenshot of the issue you've experienced, you can attach it to your message as well.

Click the "Send a message" button, and we'll pick up your email shortly!

How to open the chat?

If anyone from our Support team is currently available on chat, you'll see the "Chat" option allowing you to start a live chat with one of us immediately.

Once you open the chat, you'll see our welcome message. Type in your question, hit enter, and one of our team members will accept your chat in just a few seconds!

How to navigate the chat window?

Sometimes, to be able to troubleshoot your issue better, we might ask you for a screenshot of the issue - just click on the image icon next to your text field to attach your image.

To minimise the chat, click on the "X" icon visible under the chat window.

To end the chat, click on the "End chat" button visible at the top of the chat window. Once the chat ends, we'll send you a conversation transcript to your email address.
