Can I verify the same domain in more than one account?

To enjoy the best possible deliverability with EmailOctopus, we recommend that users verify their sender domains with us. While we don't limit the number of domains you can verify within one account, a single domain can only be verified on one EmailOctopus account at a time. If you attempt to add a domain that is currently verified on another EmailOctopus account, you will see the following error message:

This domain is already associated with an EmailOctopus account. Please delete it from that account if you're able to, or get in touch for further information.

If you verified the domain on another EmailOctopus account, you'll have to remove it from there before verifying it on another account.

If you didn't verify the domain on another account, please get in touch with the people responsible for email marketing in your organisation to check if they have already created an account with us and verified the domain there. If they did, they could invite you as a user to their account.

If you don't know about another account where your domain is currently verified, please reach out to our support team.

If you have multiple accounts with us and want to use the same domain for all of them, consider using subdomains instead – for example, instead of 'yourdomain.com,' you can verify something like 'newsletter.yourdomain.com' or 'mailing.yourdomain.com'. The subdomain verification process works the same way as root domain verification.
